Traffic flows in the village remain high despite the price of petrol. The deterrent effect of Speedwatch is illustrated by the results from the Hollow. When 168 vehicles pass by in an hour the first one slows on seeing the Speedwatch team and a slow convoy develops. In the High Street the team is currently only able to record in one direction. As they whizz round the corner by the shop it’s too late to avoid being caught so the numbers caught are higher.
Speedwatch of course operates across the county and in 30mph limits as well as 20. Their results can be seen from the following picture
