Update on advertising planning applications in the former North Dorset area and part of the former West Dorset area 

We have been notified that the Blackmore Vale Magazine has suspended publication for a temporary period due to the Covid-19 situation.  Any planning applications requiring press advertisements that would normally be advertised in the Blackmore Vale Magazine will be publicised in the Western Gazette instead from 24 April onwards. This affects the former North Dorset area and part of the former West Dorset area only.

As new applications come on line they will be added to the table below and may accessed directly from this page. Please note they are listed in order of date notified to us NOT when they were received by the Planning Office. Sometimes this is months later than when they were received ! We only post notifications of new planning applications. Unless the decision is of major importance to the village we do not post notifications of decisions.

This website is provided by the Parish Council and they, together with the coordinators of this website, do not feel that it is appropriate for the website to make or publish any comments about the virtues or otherwise of any particular  planning application. Official responses made by the parish council to planning applications may from time to time be published. Applications will be removed from our list after 6 months.

If you have any comments about particular applications they MUST be made through the Dorset Council Website and of course you may apprise the parish council of your views at their regular meetings.
